Address: 528 S Tejon St, Colorado Springs, CO 80903

Recommended dish: The Franklin
I was super excited to try this new restaurant that replaced South-side Johnny's, the former sodo Colorado Springs restaurant and bar. The Denver Biscuit Co menu was made up of some innovative biscuit sandwiches. The biscuits were light and fluffy, and the gravy was what dreams are made of. And their fried chicken...OMG. The two dishes that I tried are pictured, The Lola on biscuit french toast, and The Franklin. The Lola sandwich had fried chicken, bacon, honey butter, and maple syrup. The Franklin also had fried chicken, bacon, cheese, sausage, gravy, and an egg.
Something interesting: This restaurant is a three in one. They do the Denver Biscuit Co for breakfast, Fat Sully's ( A pizzeria) for lunch and dinner, and by night they turn into a bar/club called the Atomic Cowboy. They don't close until 3 a.m.! Though I have only tried Denver Biscuit Co, I can't wait to come back and try the other two!
